Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how PokerData (“we,” “us,” or “our”) — operated by HFT Studio LLC — collects, uses, and protects information when you use pokerdata.io (the “Service”). PokerData is a library of GTO solver data: downloadable range packs, a ranges API, and related tools. It does not offer real-money gambling, wagering, or play for real currency.
PokerData is a sister product of Poker Study AI. If you create an account, sign-in is shared across both sites. This policy covers data we process on pokerdata.io. Poker Study AI has its own privacy policy.
Information We Collect
We collect only what we need to sell packs, run the API, and keep your access working:
- Purchase email. At checkout we collect the email the receipt and downloads attach to. You can buy as a guest — an account is optional.
- Account information. If you sign in, our authentication provider (Clerk) collects your email and a unique account identifier. We use these to attach purchases and API keys to a durable login that works across devices and, if you use it, Poker Study AI.
- Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive the charge amount, currency, Stripe session identifiers, and (when you accept it) a timestamp that you agreed to the terms and waived the 14-day withdrawal right for digital content. We do not store card numbers.
- Country. We detect an approximate country from your IP address (via our host, Vercel) and you may also choose a country at checkout. We use this only to decide whether EU/EEA/UK consumer-law withdrawal rights apply to a digital download, and to record that decision with the purchase.
- Downloads and API use. We store which packs you own, when you download them, API keys you mint (hashed — we cannot recover the full key later), and usage meters for the ranges API and MCP server so you can see your usage.
- Technical data. Our hosting and infrastructure providers automatically process standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) needed to deliver and secure the Service. Stripe may also use IP-derived location for fraud prevention and tax.
We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, or payment card numbers. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction).
How We Use Your Information
- To fulfill pack purchases and let you re-download them.
- To provide API keys, MCP access, and meter usage.
- To apply consumer-law rules for digital content (including collecting an explicit withdrawal-right waiver at checkout).
- To provide, maintain, and secure the Service and your account.
- To send purchase receipts, download access, and product onboarding related to the Service.
- To respond to support requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
How We Share Information
We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Service, and only as needed for them to perform their functions:
- Payments: Stripe, to process charges and issue receipts.
- Authentication: Clerk, to manage optional sign-in and accounts (shared with Poker Study AI).
- Email: our sending provider, to deliver receipts and onboarding mail from a PokerData address.
- Hosting & infrastructure: Vercel, Neon, and related cloud providers, to host the site, store purchase and usage records, and serve downloads.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.
Cookies
After a pack purchase we set a signed, HTTP-only cookie on this device so you can return to your downloads without signing in. If you create an account, Clerk sets its own session cookies. These are functional — not advertising cookies.
Data Retention
We keep purchase records, download entitlements, and API subscription rows for as long as we need them to honor your access and our legal obligations (including tax and consumer-law records). API usage meters are a rolling window. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it by law.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time. Email michael@pokerdata.io from the address you bought or signed in with. If you are in the EU/EEA/UK you also have rights to object, restrict processing, and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Digital downloads and withdrawal
Pack purchases are digital content delivered immediately. Where the law gives you a 14-day withdrawal right (EU/EEA/UK), checkout asks you to expressly request immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose that right once the download is made available. That acceptance is stored with the purchase. The ranges API is a service billed monthly; unused time on cancellation is handled as described on your account page.
Security
We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, hashed API keys, and signed download cookies, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Material changes will be noted on this page.
